I was the mother-of-the groom, and looked in many places near home (Boston area) before deciding to order my dress from Camille - 2+ hours from home. The entire bridal party bought gowns there. The staff, including the owner, were involved, warm, honest (feedback about different gowns for me) and professional. I was VERY happy with my dress; Camille Bridal has a beautiful selection of special occasion dresses, and prices are comparable to other similar shops. Though hours available for fittings were not always the most convenient for me (due to distance), they were flexible when necessary to accommodate my circumstances.

I got married this past November and was extremely happy to have found Camilla’s for my wedding gown, my bridesmaid’s dresses and my mother and mother-in-law’s dresses. We were all extremely pleased with our dresses and the warm and welcoming atmosphere this store has to offer. Thank you Camilla’s!

Irene and her staff are wonderful to work with! Both my mother and I purchased our dresses from her. I worked with one of her staff members to choose my dress in March of 2009, and my mother purchased hers in June of 2011 for my October 2011 wedding. We were both in Camille's frequently for fittings and trunk shows over that period of time and were shown every courtesy you'd expect from a boutique salon! Very few issues/complaints, but I'll share them: as someone who works full-time, there were several times I had to leave work early in order to make fitting appointments--the seamstresses that worked with/contracted with Camille's seemed to have tight schedules, but I wanted to keep my dress with a preferred alteration vendor so I can't complain too much. Another issue that we had with the seamstresses recommended by Camille's was we were told by a Camille staff person at some point during our purchase process that there was an alteration cap--we wouldn't be charged more than a certain amount for the hemming and taking in on my dress (or my mom's), yet each of our seamstresses charged us above the cap the consultant quoted. Not sure if that was an error on Camille's or on either of the seamstresses, but I wasn't thrilled about it. Aside from the issues mentioned above, I will continue to recommend Camille Bridal Couture!

The staff at Camille Bridal was great to work with! I found the dress of my dreams on my first visit. All of my appointments were helpful as far as finding accessories, and my fittings were great as well. I really feel that the women in the shop truly want to help you find the dress that's for YOU! Jamie is great- if you can get an appointment with her when you start your dress search, definitely take it!

I just got married a couple of weeks ago, and got my gown from Camille's - everyone absolutely LOVED my dress, especially me! The Camille's bridal team were always very sweet and pleasant to work with. They called to remind you of your fittings, and worked to accomodate my schedule. Their dresses are absolutely beautiful! (side note: bring quarters for the parking meter, the meters run until TEN pm which is crazy, so you will wind up with unexpected tickets if you aren't aware). LOVE my wedding dress - thank you! :)

Never again! I have badmouthed them to no end and hope it finds them. And I've been waiting to write this review (which I will copy and paste on every wedding website known to man). My initial trip to Camille was a fairly pleasant one - my maid-of-honor and I went to see a dress I'd seen online and desperately wanted to try. Camille was the location closest to me (but still almost an hour away)...I should have heeded the reviews/warnings of others. I bought the dress on the spot (HAPPY DAY), leaving a LARGE 50% deposit, agreeing I'd return in December for measurements and to place the order. My consultant was wonderful but she left the store shortly thereafter. This was in the summer of 2010. I received a call in November of the same year while I was on vacation stating I needed to go to the store immediately to be measured. Mind you, I was across the country for a week+ and there was no way I could get there. The story I got was this: the designer and the store had ended their "contract," for lack of a better word, and the store would no longer be able to order my dress after the end of the month. I asked what would happen if I couldn't make it there prior? The store couldn't order my dress and I'd lose my deposit. Excuse me? I almost had a heart attack. The owner, whose name I'll leave out though other reviews have mentioned her, was granted an extension into the month of December to order my gown. Fair enough. It was ordered and I was told it would be four months. I waited and waited and waited...somewhere into April I reached out to the store asking about my dress. She stated it would be shipped on a specific day about a week out from my phone call. I gave it a few weeks before I called again. “Yeah, it's here.” Thanks for the phone call! Now – in the midst of all this I shopped for bridesmaids dresses, again with my maid-of-honor only. I saw the one I wanted online. Camille carried the line (After Six) and offered my girls a 15% discount because I'd purchased my gown there but they didn't have the particular style dress I was interested in. I could only find the dress at one location...my m-o-h and I tried it elsewhere and once we decided upon it, I phoned Camille Bridal in an effort to save my girls some money. They'd previously told me they could measure the girls and place the bridesmaid dress order with no problem. While on the phone, the young lady looked up the dress for me, acknowledged they could place the order without having a sample there. I inquired as to what the price would be with their 15% discount – she said she couldn't provide me with any prices over the phone. “But I'm an hour away...I already purchased my gown there.” Nope, she wasn't allowed to provide a price over the phone. “You will have to come into the store.” She literally blew a sale of TWELVE (yes, twelve) bridesmaids dresses! Thank you, Bancroft Bridal in Feeding Hills, MA for both honoring a 15% discount and ordering my beautiful sunrise (orange), cocktail-length dresses. Back to April of this year when my dress came in, I drove down with my m-o-h and her mom (my mom passed six years ago), tried it on...it was HUGE but that didn't phase me in the least. Alterations to make something smaller are more of a blessing in my eyes! The consultant was helpful, I paid the remaining balance, and she suggested I ship the dress for a mere $30 versus paying a couple hundred in sales tax. Done deal. I provided them with my new mailing address and they would ship it the next day. A few days pass...almost a week later I wrote an e-mail to the store requesting the tracking number for the package as it hadn't arrived. They immediately called me stating it had been delivered. “Not to me!” Turns out they don't ship to P.O. boxes so they took it upon themselves to ship to my old address, our vacant/on-the-market home in Springfield, MA (not the best city to have a package sitting outside for an extended period of time) instead of calling for a new address in the same town as our P.O. box. I was terrified...I cried in horror that my dress would either a.) be destroyed or b.) be gone (visualized somebody selling it for $50 on the street or more on eBay). My best friend floored it to the house and called me. I was already en route but SOBBING. The box was there. The dress was in it. My $2,000 gown had made it through rain sitting at our front door in its box for almost a week and been untouched. Camille called me repeatedly to see if I'd received the dress (funny how they call only when they need to cover their you-know-what). I never answered. I hope this review does me some justice. Thanks for nothing, Camille Bridal Couture...

I had a very positive, pleasant experience at Camille's. I found my dress at a different store, but saw Camille's was having a trunk show on the designer, and I was already going back there to see another dress I was considering. They made sure to have the dress there that day, and I loved it! I felt like I paid a very fair price for the dress and all alterations. My dress looked and fit perfectly! I absolutely loved every thing about it!! Irene and all the other girls and my seamstress were all very kind and attentive during all my visits to the shop. I had no problems at all, and enjoyed my time in the shop. The one thing that was a very slight issue was when I showed up to pick it up the week of my wedding, I was asked why I didn't have sheets to wrap the dress in (I was not ever told to bring anything with me). They wrapped it up in tissue paper and made it work so I could get it home, but it took awhile and was slightly unnerving. I would say this was of course more on the seamstress than anyone else, but it really ended up not being a big deal. (Note: bring sheets when you pick it up!) All in all, I think they have a lovely shop and I would recommend dress shopping there to any bride!

My experience working with Camille's was fantastic. From day one, everyone was very warm, friendly and accomodating. They got to know me and I never felt like just another customer. Irene and her staff helped me feel confident that everything was going to be absolutely perfect, and it was! In addition, the seamstress was great. She was very pleasant and flexible with my schedule, not to mention patient. Overall, I'm so happy to have worked with Camille's, it was truly a pleasure! I would recommend them wihout a doubt!

My review is on the line with them! Everytime ive gone they are very professional and sweet but we had ALOT OF PROBLEMS! 1) all bridesmaids dresses were bought through them and they oversized EVERY last girl by atleast 2 sizes including me the bride...They all had to pay to get them taken in ALOT! and none of them lost a significant amount of weight 2) When it came fitting time for my dresses i did a 3 or 4 fittings and everytime she had to take the dress in, i hadnt lost much weight to make this big of a diffrence, they had me order a 16and the lady tailoring my dress said she tailored it down to a 8 at the most! and she was an additional $400 on top of the $2,900 dress! 3) I went to pick up my gown the day before and my bridesmaid had me try it on,we noticed little tears and the prolems with the hemming on the bottom...and it was still BIG! They said they couldnt fit it down becuase the wedding was the next day and its not enough time, but they did say they will figure something out and BRING it to my hotel the day of my wedding BY 12 NOON! the wedding was at 6pm.......i called and called all morning finally got an answer around 11 said they will be there shortly and the dress never came til 4ish! i started to freak out but got the dress GORGEOUS AND...

I shopped for a while for my wedding dress and had experienced numerous boutiques and dress styles. I thought I knew what I liked, so when we got to Camille's, I told Erica, the sales woman, which styles I had tried on and what I wanted to see in their shop. She took me to the racks of dresses and had me personally pick the ones I wanted to try on. Erica stopped at one and said "If I can pick one for you to try on, it would be this one." I agreed, thinking it looked nice, but not exactly what I had in mind. I put that dress on and IT WAS THE ONE! Erica had this incredible eye for style and was able to not only "see" that this dress was perfect for me, but she also helped me with accessories (earrings, veil, hair clips), including the perfect sash, which made the dress totally "me". She called over the owner, Irene, who was just as excited and helpful as Erica. They genuinely were interested in my happiness and wanted to get everything "just right" for me. I felt that they truly cared about each customer- every time we came in, they greeted us with big smiles, they knew me by name and they knew which dress was mine. They went above and beyond normal business to ensure my dress and everything purchased there was exactly how I wanted it to be. I bought my mother a bracelet from their trunk show and when I picked it up (2 days before the wedding), one of the stones was missing. Irene had a brand new bracelet ready for me the next day- no hassles, no problems, no excuses. Maria, the seamstress, was amazing and made the dress fit perfectly. When I picked up my wedding dress, Irene and Erica hugged me and sincerely wanted me to come back so they to hear about the wedding afterward. Honestly, it was like buying your wedding dress from family. The whole experience at Camille Bridal Couture was wonderful, seamless, hassle-free and absolutely a place I would highly recommend.

When I went to Camille Bridal the first thing they did was get to know me and the vision I had for the wedding. They pulled a few dresses for me to try that fit with my personality and overall feel of the wedding. They helped me find a perfect dress that was just meant for all the snow we got and when I look at it it reminds me of the first snowfall when the sun hits it. Irene and all the staff that I came to know over the year were amazing. each any every time i went. Every time I called I would hear back from them quickly. They were very flexible with my work schedule and finding the right size to order. The seamstress was wonderful and meet with me several extra times because I kept loosing unintentional weight from the stress and excitement. Thank you Irene and staff at Camille Bridal for being a big part of my wedding day! I am still hearing compliments on the dress months later.

My initial experience with the store was great. I was on a tight budget, and they helped me find a fabulous sample dress for my new year's eve wedding. My experiences from there were predominantly positive, the seamstress seemed very nice and wanted the dress to fit perfectly. The problem came the day before my wedding. I was picking up the dress that day to ensure it would fit perfectly. After waiting a half hour to even see the dress and inspect it, I discovered a spot on the bodice of the gown. Obviously, the day before the wedding is stressful enough without the prospect of your dress being ruined. They suggested that they would bring the dress to my house the day of the wedding! That was entirely too much stress for me. They ended up fixing the problem and bringing the dress to my house the day before the wedding. After all that, I was pleased with the gown, but it was quite a trying experience.

My experience at Camilles was great! My bridal consultant Erica went above and beyond in helping me find the perfect dress. She really listened to what I wanted in a dress and the style I was going for. I felt so comfortable with her right away. I felt it very comfortable in her hands and she actually found my dress for me a week after I was there looking for dresses. I can back and bought the dress and it was perfect. I got so many compliments on my wedding day, it was amazing! thank you!

My dress was probably my favorite thing about my wedding ( I mean, other than my husband of course!). Camille Bridal helped me find my dream dress, and as an out-of state bride, they were willing and able to work with me with a very restricted schedule. The alterations were superb, the service was lovely, and they were so professional. My favorite memory from Camille's was when I was trying on dresses and Rachel, a Camille Bridal associate, asked all the right questions - "In 20 years is this the dress you pictured yourself wearing?" "Does this dress fit the venue?" And "how does this dress reflect your style and personality?". She was amazing. If there was something about a dress that I wasn't sure of, she'd say "take it off! We haven't found it yet!". Not to mention that their full attention was on me. The quality of the store, the dresses, and the service was the best I'd been to in Connecticut. And we looked around! They are by appointment only, but it's worth it. You basically have the whole place to yourself. Thank you Camille Bridal! My dress was out of this world!

This was the first place I went to search fo a dress! And by the 10th dress I had found the one. If your looking for a dress that is original, unique and cost effecient, Camille Bridal is the best place to schedule an appointment. Rachel, one of the bridal employees gave me her honest opinion (which I look for in any individual), provided me with thoughts on how to make my look better and went out of her way to help me find jewelry and assist me with the other wedding stresses. What more can you ask for or want? My seamstress, Karen was great and I was upset my last few days of fittings because they became my extended family and did not want to say goodbye. Can't wait to send them pictures!!!

okay so I loved my dress (San Patrick, Prado) but I wasn't happy with the managers attitude here. She was very snotty to me for no reason. I tried the dress on and knew it was what I wanted. I didn't think it was good business to ask me what my price range was and THEN give me the price of the dress (what do you know, it was the EXACT price of my budget) I like the shops that had the price tags ON the dress! less shady... I would have gotton the dress elsewhere if I could have found it elsewhere. Also, when it was time for me to pick up my dress, I asked the manager if I should wear ivory shoes and where to find them. She replied by saying in a rude way 'OUR brides wear colored shoes" whoa...EXcuuuusee me lol She was also snotty with me when I was asking about a veil. I felt like I was being made fun of because I picked out a veil that did not go with the dress. I was like "well what do you suggest since you're the expert" I'm a thin girl and when I was measured to see what size they should order, there was some confusion on what to do since my size was not on the chart. I knew they should just go ahead and order the smallest size the dress came in but it took the salon 3 days to decide that and then place the order I ended up getting my dresses altered elsewhere so I would not have to deal with this place again

Great selection and my dress with the alterations came out really nice. The seamstress made sure I was happy with it before I left the store. However, when I first tried on the dress I filled out all the paperwork, but did not put down a deposit (it is their policy that they require a deposit before ordering.) I went back again to make absolutely sure it was the one I wanted when they informed me that the price had increased $500 but they had recieved the same dress in exactly my size that they "accidently" ordered for someone else and would sell it to me for a portion of the escalated price. I really wanted the dress and nobody closer than NY carried it, so I agreed. I think they just accidently ordered ME the dress without a deposit and were trying to sell it for more, but I can't prove it. Just something to watch out for anywhere you buy a dress.

I love Camille's Bridal. Not only are the gowns fantastic but the staff are even more amazing. One thing I loved about them was that I told them my budget and what I liked and they were able to find a dress that I fell in love with without going over my budget :) Their seamstress is VERY talented and experienced. I still go by just to chat with them, once part of the family always part of the family :)
