I cannot say enough about Jennifer and John!!! Right from the beginning with our first meeting & tour, we were 100% impressed!! Their professionalism, menu, flexibility, price point and beautiful venue made it easy to make our decision to get married at Crystal Peak! We're so happy we did! Our September 10th wedding was absolutely AMAZING! Jenn was right there every step of the way (even serving us hors'deuvres during our photos!)! It had been raining hard the week prior so the ground was still a bit wet and needless to say my dress got a bit dirty. BUT Jenn offered to help me clean it and took me upstairs and started cleaning the spots from my dress right before introductions!! Can't thank her enough for that!!She's amazing!!! John is such a talented chef too! The food was SO delicious!! They also made sure that my vegetarian Uncle was served the "meatless" hors'deuvres which he greatly appreciated! We're SO GLAD we chose Crystal Peak!!! Thank you Jenn & John!!!

I cannot say enough positive things about Crystal Peak. From the first phone call when I spoke to the owner, John, until the moment my new husband and I left our reception we had nothing but excellent service from Crystal Peak. The owners, John and Jennifer are the most likeable, kind people you will ever meet aside from their professionalism and attention to detail. They will guide you step by step and will do everything possible to make your vision come true. The food is amazing and the price per person is unbelievable for the quality of food and service you receive. In addition, their facility is beauitful and inviting and is situated on gorgeous grounds. I cannot recommend Crystal Peak more highly.

Jen and John, co-owners and event planner and chef, respectively, are incredible. They take so much pride in every detail and worked with us to make our wedding day perfect. Seriously, it was perfect. Jen made each guest feel welcomed and special and John's food was delicious and beautifully presented. Guests raved about how good the food was and he even took the dietary restrictions of a few of our guests into consideration and made them separate plates. We could not have imagined a more beautiful wedding. Their outdoor ceremony area, nestled in the woods with a small waterfall, pond and wooden arch, is gorgeous and well tended to. If we had to do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing.

My husband and I were married at Crystal Peak on June 24th, 2011. I can not possibly say enough about how wonder John and Jennifer were to work with through the entire process. Everything was flawless, and our wedding night was perfect! We had our ceremony there as well, which was planned to be outdoors, however the rain had other plans- they allowed us to make the final call the morning of the wedding, and when we chose to move indoors into the room meant for our cocktail hour they had the room copletely changed over for our ceremony, and everything was perfect! The food is incredible! I have had people calling to compliment us everyday since the wedding, no one could get over how delicious everything was, and the presentation was beautiful as well. Wait staff was extremely professional and friendly. Especially Sharon, who is Jennifer's assistant, and was a lifesaver when I got a stain on my dress 20 minutes into our reception. Throughout the whole planning process, any question I emailed was answered almost inastantly. I was always kept informed of our options. And they accomodated every request. Many of our guests stated over and over that ours was the best wedding they had ever been to. And I have to agree. Everything was perfect, and the prices are more than reasonable. I strongly reccomend Crystal Peak!

My husband and I got married May 21st, 2011. We held our reception at Crystal Peak in Winsted and couldn't have asked for a better day. Jennifer worked one on one with us to help with getting the plans for the day just right. We planned our wedding from FL and had a lot of over the phone conversations with Jennifer and she was always pleasant and very patient with us. The food was amazing, her husband is the chef and he is very professional as well. We would highly recommend using Crystal Peak for your reception venue. Even though we didn't have our ceremony there, we still had an amazing reception. We got some amazing pictures inside and outside of the building which added to the experience. I can't stress enough how great of a job Jennifer, her husband and staff did for our wedding and my husband will not not shut up about how great the seafood dish was and we want to know when they are opening up a restaurant. Now I want that dish! Thank you!

Jennifer & John were amazing in helping us plan the wedding reception. The quality and quantity of food were outstanding, and the presentation of all the foods and drinks was superb. The staff was always polite, ready to serve and had plenty of food at all times to pass around during the cocktail hour, the meal times, and the sweet treat hour. Best ever place to have your wedding!

John catered our wedding reception in Washington, CT and it was FABULOUS! The food, from the appetizers to the dinner, were delicious. He and his wife, Jennifer, were such a pleasure to work with and his years of experience and expertise made the day run so smoothly. My husband and I (and my Mom!) could not have been happier. Thank you John and Jen, I highly recommend!

Jennifer and John were amazing to work with. From the very first visit to Crystal Peak, they were so nice and efficient we just knew our wedding would be there (my husband was sold after our tasting! :0)) Jennifer was so easy to work with and plan the details of the wedding day. She offered ideas and accommodated all of our needs and wants. I was not nervous one bit because I knew that if anything went wrong, Jenn and John would take care of it. After our final meeting a few days before, it was just pure excitement because I knew everything was taken care of! The food was out of the world! The packages they offer are extremely reasonably priced. The grounds were beautiful and an amazing background to our outdoor ceremony. We had the wedding of our dreams at Crystal Peak!

I cant say enough about Crystal Peak! The staff is so kind and accommodating! They were extremely flexible, did everything they could to make my wedding day run smooth and were so easy to work with! People are still calling to compliment me on my wedding and keep saying that it was the best wedding they had ever been to and the best food they ever had at a wedding! I have been recommending Crystal Peak to everyone I know! Their facility is gorgeous and they are just the best people I have ever worked with! It certainly made my wedding day a day to remember! My husband and I held our reception at Crystal Peak on June 5, 2010 and it was one of the best choices we could have made! My husband's sister used Crystal Peak the year prior for her reception as well. That is actually how we found out about this place. The location is beautiful - tucked away in the mountain side with beautiful views and a fantastic outdoor mingling area complete with wooden bridge and fountain. (Perfect for outdoor pictures with your hubby!) The site is also very easy to get to. The food was seriously, seriously fantastic. They offer tons of menu options based on your price point. The passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour were my favorite part. The wait staff is instructed to deliver these tasty goodies to the upstairs area where the bridal party is before the formal introduction. I *definitely* got a chance to eat at my wedding! John and Jennifer are extremely professional and easy to work with. Our wedding was almost completely DIY (everything down to the cupcakes!) and Jennifer was so flexible and organized. During the actual ceremony, she was actually out on the floor, checking everything out, checking in with my husband and me, making sure we were comfortable, fed and having a great time. What can I say about Crystal Peak. They were WONDERFUL! Jon and Jennifer and their team made our wedding day perfect. They were so attentive with us while we did photos, they kept things going at the perfect pace. They even provided vegan hors d’ouevers and found the vegan guests! The food is truly incredible. Jon is a wonderful chef and I had guests raving about the food the entire time. The hors d’ouevers, apps, entrees, everything was delicious. Jennifer was a strong presence, which most definitely puts a bride at ease to see someone running the show! I can only hope people who are still looking for a venue will see this and a book crystal peak! Really, they were that good ☺

Our wedding day went off without a hitch and that is mainly thanks to John and Jen and their amazing staff. Not only did they take care of everyone in our party that had dietery restrictions, they allowed us to make special requests without batting an eyelash. A year later and our guests are still talking about how great the food was.

Their website sucks. That is the only negative. You would never know how beautiful the venue is from the pictures. The food is beyond anything you could expect. 5 star quality and you cannot beat the price, it still has our guests talking about it months after. The Rollers (owners) have one of the best kept secrets around. HIGHLY RECOMMEND, especially for outdoor wedding!

Everything about Crystal Peak was perfect!! From the staff to the atmosphere to the grounds outside where we took our beautiful pictures!! John and Jennifer are the best to work with and will do whatever they can to make your wedding day your dream day - they did with us. Thank you John and Jennifer for making our wedding day dreams come true!! You guys are truely the BEST!!

John and Jen Roller are tops in their field. Their superb attention to detail provided us with a worry-free special day. The food was awesome, the service was impeccable and the venue itself could not have looked any better. There was not one single complainnt.....even with a very, very picky set of families! Kudos to Crystal Peak and all of their staff and owners.

My husband and I love Crystal Peak. The venue was B-E-A-Utiful, the food was fantastic and the staff was wonderful to work with. I give them an A++ and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for the perfect location for their special day.

Our wedding day was perfect thanks to many factors, with Crystal Peak definitely being one of them :) The grounds were beautifully maintained, the room itself was MORE than big enough, and the FOOD...to die for! Our only regret was not making more time to actually ENJOY our meals on our busy day! Their service was wonderful, very attentive to the Bride and Groom. Jen and John made the entire experience actually enjoyable and STRESS FREE! That seemed to be the theme of the day, and for that we express our immense appreciation!!

This place was a perfect wedding site. The food and service was outstanding. The value was excellent. The surroundings were beautiful. The staff was very attentive. The setup of the room was slightly awkward- the dance floor was as far as possible away from our table and other "important" tables. We were hoping to have cocktails outside but the weather was questionable and we were disappointed not to be able to.

Crystal Peak was amazing! John and Jennifer Roller (the owners) were fabulous. They always answered my many emails promptly and were very flexible when we had an uninvited guest RSVP 2 days before the wedding. The Rollers let me come the night before my wedding to set up my Center Pieces because I was slighlty anal about them. The whole experience with Crystal Peak was terrific but my only complaint is that the bar staff was a little rude. They served my bridesmaids drink, whom all are above the age of 26, then when the drinks were in my girls' hands they took them away and made my girls go get there I.D.s. We were lucky my girls had their I.D.s with them. Overall, Crystal Peak made my Wedding Day perfect.

Our October 11th wedding at Crystal Peak was absolutely perfect. We used their lovely outdoor ceremony area for the wedding itself. It was sheltered from the parking lot and other less than attractive views by thick old CT woods, but it was very close to the venue itself and easy for all guests to access. Handicapped and elderly guest could be driven up a well hidden "driveway" to the ceremony area, so there were no awkard ramps or difficult climbs. Foliage and light landscaping in the ceremony area is understated and natural in appearance, and can be dressed up or left as it for a more low key ceremony. It's perfect for a summer or fall wedding. My only concern in the spring would be mud, but that will be an issue at any venue in New England. The reception was held in the larger Crystal ballroom. It was tastefully, simply decorated. At no point did you feel like you were in a dressed up hotel conference room. The large windows were nice for a daytime reception. Linens were conveniently included. And the food! Anyone who has been to Crystal Peak for any event can tell you that the food is the best of any venue in the area. And the prices are more than reasonable. We were able to keep our entire wedding budget at around $10,000, in part because of the lost cost/high quality at Crystal Peak. Lastly, John and Jennifer were easy to work with, very responsive to emails and calls, and very patient. I had a completely stress free wedding day, knowing John had designed a great meal and dessert menu (we chose not to have a cake, and instead Crystal Peak did a great dessert table for us!), and Jennifer and her assistant Gina were making sure everything else was coordinated. We were a bit under prepared for the big event, and made some mistakes ourselves, but everything went so smoothly thanks in large part to Jennifer and Gina that no one noticed. I very highly recommend Crystal Peak to couples on a budget, couples with under 250 guests, and couples who want to focus more on food and a relaxed, fun atmosphere.
