Rick and Cheryl at Emily's Catering Group were phenomenal....almost beyond what I could ever put into words. From the beginning I asked Rick to create a menu for my Mother's 60th Birthday party. His ideas blew me away! He is truly an artist in the kitchen. The man is a genius with food, presentation and style/service.From the incredible salad (baby greens, candied chestnuts, smoked bacon, bleu cheese, fresh figs w/champagne vinaigrette dressing) which was served with mini cups (individiual) of wild mushroom soup.... to the barbeque beef brisket and chicken with cranberry salsa. OMG!! Pure Yummy!Guests could NOT stop talking about how delicious the food was. AND the wait staff, perfect. They were extremely professional and kept telling me to stop helping. (since I design wedding flowers, I always feel like it's my job to unload and set up)!! So great. I would recommend Emily's to ANYONE! Every little detail was PERFECT! They made our "Autumn in New England" dinner party beyond incredible!AND my last minute request the day of the event, for cornbread to be added. Cheryl said absolutely no problem. The cornbread was melt in your mouth fabulous. (Most guests insisted I ask for the recipe!)Call Rick for your next event. You will be just as impressed as we are!

Rick and Cheryl were extremely helpful and patient during the planning process, they really helped to tailor the look and the menu for us and Rick really worked with us to fit into our budget. On the day of the wedding they went above and beyond to make sure dinner went as smoothly as possible. When the oven at our venue broke and maintenance couldn't be found to fix it, Rick drove his truck across town to another event they were running and brought an oven back for them to cook our food in! The waitstaff was attentive, our captain, Linda, made sure we had everything we needed. We had SO many compliments on the food, I don't think anyone even noticed a delay with dinner coming out (due to the oven problem) because they were enjoying the food so much. From the appetizers, to the main dishes and the candy table, we LOVED everything! The only thing I would say is, if you decide to do family style like we did, make sure you leave plenty of empty space on the tables for shared dishes, the waitstaff needed to remove our centerpieces to accommodate the shared plates.

When it comes to wedding food, most people give you chicken, steak or fish. Some people go out on a limb and do a buffet. But with Emily's they more or less turn your wedding into a fine dining experience with some of the most delicious food around served in some of the most creative ways. They are highly professional, down-to-earth, and go well well well above and beyond their job titles. I would not only recommend them for your wedding (or any event for that matter), but you'd be stupid not to. Cheers!

I can never say enough about Emily's Catering. The food was incredible, the presentation was elegant and everything was carefully customized to our style and specifications. Rick and his team were super professional, fun and down to earth. They went above and beyond the job and were worth every penny.To top it off, we just hired them to cater our superbowl party this weekend! DIGGING THE DISH! Oh my gosh, the cocktail hour was in full swing when we joined it after finishing our photos & the buzz wasn't from the cocktails, it was all about the hors d'oeuvres! "Have you tried this?"; "You need to try this one."; "Make sure you get one of these!" Our family & friends couldn't stop raving about "the dish" being served up by Emily's staff! Rave reviews all around.The staff not only served up yumminess with our 8 different hors d'oervres, but they also served up smiles; very important for such a happy occasion! I have to give a special shout-out to the bartender & I only wish I could remember her name. She did an over-the-top FABULOUS job with personality, service & most importantly the drinks. I only had the wine, but was told she mixed a mean cocktail and no one was dissappointed with the bar! Rick helped us create a fantastic station menu for dinner & executed it perfectly. He even did all the grilling that night; nice touch & much appreciated! "First class" was the complement I heard most. This was my first experience hiring a caterer and I asked a million questions/sent a hundred e-mails. Cheryl was great; she pleasantly answered all of them. Rick knows his business & delivers. Made choosing Emily's a no brainer for us!

I cannot say enough about Emily's Catering. We were married at the Webb Barn in August 2011, and Rick, Cheryl, and everyone at Emily's were incredible from day one! The food was impecible andthe service the day of the wedding was completely above and beyond my wildest imagination. Everyone kept complimenting the food, and the service, and everyone made sure my glass was never empty, and we were full the whole time. They helped coordinate the timeline with the DJ and florist, and I never worried about anything the whole night. Our guests raved about the food, and the Sangria was to DIE for! Cheryl was responsive to my emails and calls, and was there 100% through the whole process - Even when I just needed reassurance, or had little questions, she was amazing, and I cannot thank her enough. If you choose Emily's you can rest assured you are in excellent hands!

Emily's Catering has hands down the best food I've ever had at a wedding but I was just sad I never got to eat any of it at my own wedding! The tasting was out of this world and Rick understood what I wanted and that I wanted to have a different menu than my sister's wedding. I really appreciated that and he was nice and fun to work with. He was really creative with food. The only downfall was that it was raining the night of my wedding and his staff almost threw out the remainder of my wedding cake. I understand that rain is a tough condition to work in and I'd use Emily's Catering again and again if I had the opportunity. Thanks Rick--everyone's still raving about the food and the Gelato!!

We were married in June 2011 at Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington - Rick and his team did an impeccable job making our passed appetizers and seated dinner under a tent perfect! Throughout our year of planning, he and his right-hand-lady Cheryl were always responsive, professional, and thoughtful in attending to our questions and requests. We chose Emily's Catering over other larger caterers exactly because we knew Rick would be personally involved in handing the details of our event and would be there cooking/supervising on our big day. Emily's delivered an amazing evening of creative, delicious food and festive drinks. Our guests were impressed and we were delighted. Well done, Emily's Catering!

We were married in a big tented wedding at the house I grew up in in Connecticut and can not give enough praise to Rick from Emily's catering and his team. The passed appetizers were inventive and delicious and all of the staff went above and beyond. I can not thank everyone enough for the delicious food and amazing staff.

From the moment we met Chef Rick we were WOWED by his professionalism, knowledge of the business and ability to see the same vision for our wedding that we had. Chef Rick and the Emily's staff delivered what was the BEST wedding food that anyone has ever had! If you truly want a caterer that can deliver on what they promise, who goes above and beyond what you request and who will leave your guests talking about how good the food was weeks after, USE EMILY'S...it's a no brainer!!

When we decided to have a brunch for our wedding, we knew we wanted the food to be special. Emily's put together an exceptional brunch menu that really stood out. All of our guests raved about everything that was served. The staff was incredibly helpful and responsive - they were my unofficial wedding coordinators! We would definitely recommend Emily's to other couples planning their weddings.

we hit the jackpot with emily's catering, truly. rick put together the most incredible menu for our wedding reception and cocktail hour. he is terribly kind, so hilarious and we were completely at ease w everything that emily's catering did. they went above and beyond the call of duty and made everyone at our wedding so happy with such wonderful food and service. to revisit a conversation i had with my father about a year ago regarding the food served at weddings, he said " it doesn't matter, no one remembers the food at weddings." today he said to me, " i was wrong. it was the best food i've ever had and will never forget it." today my father was right and we have rick and everyone at emily's catering to thank for that :) many many thanks!

Rick Kerzner and his staff at Emily's Catering Group far surpassed any expectations we had for our wedding day menu. The cocktail hour menu was genius, comfort food from sweet potato fries to mini grilled cheese sandwiches: people were raving it was so delicious and plentiful they wouldn't have room for their main course. The main course, however, was too delicious to pass up, as everyone raved about the unique style of cooking the steak and chicken, and the family style sides that kept with our comfort food theme. They came up with a custom cocktail for our bar, had chocolate dipped fruit to be served with the wedding cake, and sent everyone home with a bag of mini donuts and chocolate milk! We have gotten so many compliments on how excellent the food was, with so many people telling us it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. Rick's staff was professional, courteous, and catered to me and my bridal party's every need. I will surely be using this catering group in the near future, I cannot express enough how wonderful a job they did!

Our wedding was just catered by Emily's. Rick was fantastic, the service was top notch and the food was wonderful. Everyone raved about how great they were, and took some cards for their upcoming events. They were always professional, and had great communication. You won't go wrong with them!

I felt at ease knowing that Rick had everything covered and on the day of the wedding, Rick and his amazing staff surpassed all of our expectations. The food was delicious and the display was absolutely beautiful. Our wedding was definitly a fusion of a few cultures and Rick was able to provide everything we asked for with ease and flexibility. His prices are also very reasonable and he is willing to work with all budgets. Emily's catering group was nothing but amazing at our wedding. They were always right there if we needed something done. People are still raving about the amount and quality of food our wedding had. They loved the summer grill stations and thought that all the grilled meat was cooked just right. My friend keeps bugging me about the sea bass recipie! They were a truly amazing!

Emily's Catering did an excellent job! My wedding was in a backyard and they were very accomodating with the limitations of the venue. The food was great and a lot af people commented on the food. Some stated that the chicken was dry but I thought all the food was EXCELLENT!!
