Hot,Rock&Dye!

I can't give Sailor and her girls enough stars to show how amazing they did my wedding, not even just the hair and makeup- but my flowers and programs for a third of the price I would have paid. Not only that but she really came through for me when there were other problems as well and took charge as a wedding planner.She really got what I wanted for my wedding- hollywood glam, dark eyes and red lips and very dramatic hair and that is exactly what I got! My friends all loved and couldn't get over my bouqets- and for the price, it was incredible. if you are looking for a real helper, I would hire sailor and her crew for sure for anything you needed done, from boudoir pictures for your soon to be husband, to your hair and makeup and anything inbetween.. she has the best ideas and amazing visions.My husband talked about how amazing I looked days after and about how everything just came together so cohesive with her help. I can't plug this place enough- totally worth every penny.

Meeting Sailor and her crew at Hot Rock & Dye in Windsor, CT is a real treat. These ladies are friendly, fun, and very passionate about what they do. Hot Rock & Dye is not your everyday salon. While the crew here can easily whip up conventional hairdos and classic looks, they specialize in retro, pinup, and rock n roll styles. We threw a retro, rock n' roll themed wedding, so finding Hot Rock & Dye was like kismet! My sister called tons of salons, but got the most enthusiastic response from Hot Rock & Dye, even though they were over an hour away from the wedding venue! The consultation at Hot Rock & Dye for the wedding hairstyles and makeup was so much fun. Sailor, the salon owner, had so many great ideas for the bridal party and for me. She made picking the right hair and makeup a breeze. She was also full of great ideas for the wedding and reception to give it a more retro feel. Needless to say we hit it off, and after meeting with Sailor I was more excited about my wedding than ever.Even with travel included, the salon's prices were very reasonable. The ladies came right to our hotel suite to doll up the bridal party with AMAZING retro hairdos and makeup. My bridesmaids looked like movie stars. It was incredible. My hair and makeup was great too, and very dramatic! Hot Rock & Dye purchased special extensions and dyed them to match my hair color exactly. The effect was wonderful. They even brought their nail tech, Pia, to get my nails in perfect order right before the main event. Because Hot Rock & Dye also operates as a pinup portrait studio, Sailor came with the bridal party to take some special photos. Her capacity for great ideas is astounding, and she took shots of my entire bridal party in special poses and settings. I can't wait to get my hands on the final prints!All in all, it was a pleasure to work with the ladies at Hot Rock & Dye, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone, especially if your event has a retro theme.
