The only vendor that I am thoroughly disappointed with is Jessica Country Flowers. Flowers were one of the most important things for our wedding and I made it a point to make trips to CT, as i was out of town, to meet with various florists to find the one that I thought would help make our day special. Prior to signing the contract, she promised so much, she kept telling me that she would work with me and my budget and kept ensuring that I would get the flowers I wanted. We talked face to face, on phone conversations and emails about specifics and she agreed to everything and i believed her.On the wedding day, I was completely surprised how much she didn't listen to me. I looked around and was just so upset. Granted, the bouquets and the few orchids she put on our cake were the only things I was satisfied with. But everything else was off and was not what we had talked and agreed upon. I had asked for more yellows to match our wedding colors and she put reds every where. The two "large flower arrangements" for the ceremony were green hydrangea bunches, no one even knew there were flowers up front, they did not stand out at all and it looked so boring. My husband and my sisters said they weren't happy with the flowers and they did not think it was worth $5000+ and that I got ripped off. I am really not sure what she did with all that money, because it didn't look worth it at all.I looked at her website and I saw beautiful flower arrangements, I believed everything she kept telling me and I thought I made the right choice. I was taken advantage of and completely lied to and it was the only disappointment I had that day. If our wedding wasn't worth her time and our budget was too low for her standards, the right thing to do was to let me know to look elsewhere. I had a vendors say that to me and I really appreciated that. Don't rip people off and lie to them. I had wonderful vendors that delivered excellent service, she was not one of them. Bottom line, she's not the type of vendor that cares about making your wedding day special, otherwise she would not have done what she did.

Jessica was a pleasure to work with--I am thrilled that I was able to have her design my wedding!Firstly, the flowers were BEYOND stunning--my bouquet was amazing! Also, I had so many guests tell me that the ceremony and reception flower arrangements blew them away with their elegance. Jessica translated my vision of a romantic, “Titanic-esque” wedding into reality with her floral design. The arrangements were A+ “constructed”—my husband's buttoniere survived all day in spite of the hugs, dancing, and photography that lesser buttonieres would have been destroyed by.Jessica's services and communication are top notch—she was frequently available to meet, chat via email or over the phone and answer my many questions. Beyond her demonstrated excellence in floral design, Jessica knows how to deliver a cohesive, elegant wedding. Her knowledge extends beyond her floral expertise--she has a thorough understanding of the wedding industry and is connected with other top New England vendors. Her obvious enthusiasm for what she does combined with warmth and professionalism makes what can be a very stressful time for a bride more enjoyable. Jessica delivers stellar service with a personal touch—on my wedding day, Jessica and her husband personally delivered my bouquet (along with the bridesmaids’) in person to the hotel where I was prepping. It meant so much to me that she took the time to make sure I was happy with the final product! I would not hesitate to recommend her to other brides. Book with confidence!

Jessica really helped us create a picture perfect day. Everything looked so beautiful and we couldn't have been happier with the end result - I loved all of our flowers! My bouquet was stunning, our centerpieces were absolutely gorgeous and my bridesmaids loved their bouquets (I could go on and on!).I was able to sneak into the ballroom before our guests and I was blown away at how beautiful everything looked put together. The design team was working hard and spot on with every detail and then some! Jessica's Country Flowers does fabulous work and I would recommend them without a doubt.

Initially, I was so excited and happy with Jessica. At our initial consultation, she was so accommodating, generous, kind, and helpful. However, as our relationship progressed and it got closer and closer to my wedding, this attitude changed. It became IMPOSSIBLE to get an appointment with her. For our final meeting before the wedding, I gave her no less than 10 dates/times that I was available during the 3 weeks prior to my wedding and she absolutely refused to make any time for us in the evenings. Because my husband works during the day, he was unable to participate in the creation of our floral arrangements. In addition, she was really inflexible as to the dates/times she was available. During this time I had law school finals and she was definitely not understanding. I would have to ask her to do something multiple times over many months before they would actually get done. Then, a little more than 30 days before my wedding she INCREASED the price of our contract by $400. That is A LOT of money for people who are operating on a budget (which is most people). This increase was because of the increase in market price due to weather around the country. As a result, I asked for an estimation of what everything would cost so that we could cut some things out to keep the price closer to the contracted price (ie: if we order less flowers, the cost of the flowers is necessarily less). Not only did she refuse to allow me to reduce the amount of flowers I was going to order, but she REFUSED to give me a break down of what everything cost. This leads me to believe that we were ripped off. When it comes to working within someone's budget, she is not accommodating or understanding. She has said to me once that someone came to her with a budget that she absolutely could not work with and that that couple needed something "in between Stop & Shop and Me." So, be aware that she will not work within any budget. First of all, the day of the wedding, SHE WAS NOT THERE. She sent her husband. Her husband is just as argumentative and inflexible as she is. On the day of our wedding, my husband had to argue with him that we contracted for candles on our mantle pieces and on each table. He actually had to point to where it said it in the contract before he would get us candles. Definetely not something one wants to do right before you are about to walk down the aisle. The flowers that were actually at my wedding were beautiful. However, many of the things that were in the contract and that we PAID for were NOT THERE. These were among those things that were missing: my toss bouquet (I had to use one of my bridesmaid's bouquets), a flower on each place setting, arrangements on the cocktail tables, and submerged flowers on the mantlepieces. We PAID FOR all of these things and they were not provided to us. Additionally, at our last meeting prior to the wedding (approximately 2 weeks prior), she asked me where she should leave all of the flowers. I instructed her to leave them in the bridal suite before she left because we were going to be getting ready there. That conversation was just a waste of breath because she wasn't there and she obviously had not conveyed that to her husband so no one brought our corsages and boutonnieres to our family members for the ceremony. My photographer had to go and look for them before our formal pictures. Her husband had just left them somewhere in the mansion and had not even told anyone where they were. When we brought all of this to her attention, she said she would "discuss it" with her husband and call us back. Our wedding was on June 4 and to this day we have not received a phone call back from either of them. All in all, Jessica requires a lot of babysitting. Her customer and inter-personal skills are extremely lacking and it adds to an already stressful experience. Unless you have someone (such as a wedding planner) to deal with her for you, it isn't worth it to book with her.

I was so excited to work with Jessica because of how well our first meeting went and because of all the positive reviews on other websites. Looking back I think she wrote her own positive reviews because I can not imagine how someone else could have had a good experience. I was concerned that the price she gave me was over my budget because of the $4000 minimum she required but I thought that if my flowers will be as beautiful as the albums she showed that it was worth it. The contract I signed did not specify in any great detail what I was actually getting. She said she would send an itemized list but never did. She said she would contact me well in advance of the wedding to finalize plans but didn't. As the day got closer I was concerned I had already paid in full and still did not know what I was getting. It was hard to reach her, and when I finally met with her she said she can't make mock centerpieces. My fiancee flipped out at this, leaving her an angry voicemail to which her response was that she will only communicate with the person who signed the contract, which was me. I tried to keep my cool, do I did what I thought was responsible and brought many photos with detailed notes so she knew exactly what I wanted. One idea I really wanted to use was to have 5 tall votive holders on each table around the centerpiece. She told me to find the holders myself, deliver them to the venue, and she would place them on the tables. After a long search I could not find the right kind of holders and since I wouldn't even know what it would look like, I gave up on the idea. On my wedding day she came to the house with our bouquets, which I admit I was thrilled about. They were more beautiful that I could haver ever imagined. However, when I saw my centerpieces at the venue, the sight took my breath away in the wrong way. I could not BELIEVE how small they were. They were in no way, shape, or form similar to the pictures I showed her. And this was after she charged me $700 more 30 days before the wedding and after I had a "credit" because I no longer needed a place card table piece (she said she can't lower the price so she will use that money to put extra flowers in my centerpieces). Pretty sure this was violating the contract. I would not have been upset if I could have seen mock pieces and asked how to make them larger but I felt so powerless that I forked over more than $5,000 and really had no say in what the flowers looked like! The reason for charging $700 extra was because "rising gas prices have driven up flower prices." On the other hand the excuse she gave another customer for doing the same was that some disaster in Costa Rica affected flower prices. Part of the $700 was an extra $300 for changing my church flowers. See, after my first meeting I was sure we were using at least flowers for the pews. One month before the day, at the meeting I insisted on having, she was shocked I didn't know we were using VINES not flowers in the church. So it cost $300 to place 3 almost invisible white roses on every other pew. The church was so poorly decorated it would have been better not decorated at all. There was also no toss bouquet, had to use a bridesmaids bouquet. I hate looking at my wedding photos which feature the church/venue flowers because it reminds me of what a huge mistake I made. This company is a scam and should not be allowed to function.

how many synonyms for wonderful? jessica encompasses them all!!!!! she put together an incredible giveaway for our dream wedding and a dream it truly was! aside from her generosity, her talent with flowers is beyond words. of course we had many discussions of the overall vision, but we had no idea what to expect until the day of and we were blown away. it was perfect, the blooms incredible. i will be devastated when my bouquet finally dies, although i am trying desperately to preserve it because it was so beautiful. all of the girl's flowers were, and the tablescape breath taking. a huge thank you to jessica for her ENORMOUS heart and her incredible talent. we love you to bits!

Jessica, her husband Scott, and the rest of her crew at Jessica's Country Flowers went above and beyond our wedding day expectations. It's nice to see a vendor be just as excited about your wedding details as you are! We wanted a few things that weren't typical; a parisol for my flower girl, lamps for centerpieces, and an arbor for the ceremony. Jessica exceeded any expectations we had and took my design ideas and made them phenomenal. I couldn't have been more pleased, and would be happy to reccomend her to anyone interested in having a beautiful wedding. She excels in creating custom pieces that will be unlike anything you've ever seen before, exactly what we were hoping for when it came to our wedding. She went above and beyond just floral design and helped me coordinate with other vendors, and was happy to meet with me on multiple occasions to ensure I got everything I wanted on my wedding day. Jessica and Scott are kind, generous, thoughtful people that devote all of their time and energy to make you feel like your event is the only important work they have; they'll go above and beyond to make sure your wedding is perfect! I will be sure to use Jessica in any event I have in the future that might require her expertise!

We loved what she created for our big day and received soooo many compliments from our guests and even friends who didn't go to the wedding mention how beautiful the flowers were!! Jessica's flowers had to be the most talked about detail at the wedding :-)During the cocktail hour I snuck a peek of the reception room, it was being flipped from ceremony to reception. I could not believe my eyes, the flowers were outstanding and made such a huge visual impact that I'll never forget. Money well spent!!Jessica was wonderful to work with, from beginning to end. Her creativity and love of flowers really shows in her beautiful floral design. She's an artist, thank you Jessica.

Jessica worked closely with us when designing our wedding. We had a specific vision and she made it a reality. She's amazing at her craft and comes up with the most unique and creative touches. Her floral designs speak for themselves. The centerpieces for our wedding were gigantic with thick glass and gorgeous submerged orchids. The variety of flowers she included made for a stunning arrangement and the colors were absolustely brilliant. I think that you can get an idea of her design capabilities just by looking at her portfolio. There really are no words for how beautiful her work is. I think what you don't know and what will really help you to choose her (and you should!) are the things that pictures don't show. For example, her professionalism: she is 100% responsive and available to you whenever you have a question or idea. Her excitement: she is JUST as, if not MORE excited then you are about your wedding. Her creativity (I know I said this but I have to mention it again) : the little touches she adds to things is what makes her special - The fabric that she wrapped the bridesmaid bouquets in, the way she built the grandmother coursages into what can only be described as works of art, the boutinere designs and way she crafted our little ring bearers so it was just his size. Her experience: She will remind you of the things you are forgetting and help you make it happen - Did you order your aisle runner, what out of town guest bags, what about favors. Her Friendship: she will email you out of the blue to check in, she'll post a message on your facebook wall at JUST the right moment, when you need it most and finally, her LOVE OF WHAT SHE DOES: It's obvious that Jessica loves being a wedding floral designer. She loves weddings. She loves people and she wants to make your wedding vision a reality. She won't design a wedding that is suited to HER tastes. She'll take every piece of advice and information that you give her and design a wedding that fits YOU and your fiance to a T. That is what makes Jessica fabulous and that is why you should choose her for you wedding florals.

I don't even know where to begin, Jessica was absolutely amazing from start to finish! The flowers -the bouquets, boutonnieres and centerpieces - were amazing. We told Jessica what we were thinking about in terms of color and type of flower and she produced something above and beyond what we could ever have imagined. We loved working with Jessica and Scott and their team, each one of them is so talented and, more than that, just some of the kindest people we've known!

Flowers were really important to us, and Jessica did a phenominal job creating pieces that came together beautifully. We actually didn't spend a lot of time going into great detail, we just gave her some ideas and wishes, and she came up with the rest. So fear not if you don't know exactly what you want. She will help you get there. She was very professional and came through on her promises. She is a bit pricier that some florists in the area, but well worth it in my opinion. Remember that you get what you pay for, so don't skimp on flowers. It will truly make or break your wedding. Weeks after our wedding, we are still receiving wonderful comments about the flowers. People actually fought over them at the wedding (haha). Everyone wanted to take one home! Thanks Jessica.

The flowers were absolutely beautiful. The trees and high arrangements were above and beyond what I expected. I did want a lot of blues in the flowers and bouquet and while my bouquet was perfect, the centerpieces at the actual wedding were lacking in this color. Aside from that, I couldn't have asked for more. Everyone was raving about the flowers at the wedding and thought they were stunning. I would just make sure you go over all the details in terms of colors several times and make sure you know on the decor that she is not responsible for taking it down. Aside from that, Jessica was responsive and very artistic.

From the moment that I met her, Jessica was a pleasure to work with. Although I knew nothing about flowers, she listened to me and was able to assemble all of my jumbled ideas into a vision that truly reflected who I was. Unlike other florists that we consulted, Jessica never tried to fit me into her idea of a wedding or her idea of how florals should be; she truly responded to who I was and helped me to create an event that reflected that. Our flowers and decor were stunning, and they exceeded even my high expectations. I couldn't recommend her more highly!

I can’t say enough good things about Jessica, her husband Scott, and their team. Our flowers were absolutely gorgeous; I couldn’t have imagined them to be more beautiful! Everyone was talking about how amazing they looked. When I met with Jessica and was looking through her display books, there was honestly not one thing I didn’t like. She is so talented and everything she creates is wonderful! The special touches and detailing in her work make everything unique. She asked for my opinion and kept me updated with all of her new ideas, but I let her create the beautiful “Winter Wonderland” she was envisioning. I will be recommending her to everyone I know!

Jessica did my flowers for my October 18, 2009 wedding at St. Clements Castle and I couldn't be happier. I knew I wanted fall colors and a cozy atmosphere and Jessica right away new exactly what I wanted and came through. On the day of my wedding it poured, I was originally supposed to have an outdoor garden ceremony hoping to really capture the fall into our wedding. When I came to the realization that I was not going to get that fall foliage ceremony I was bummed..that is until the flowers showed up.. It didn't matter where the ceremony was held Jessica made the outside come in with the flowers and all the colors she incorporated. Everyone raved about the flowers and I couldn't be more thankful that we chose Jessica to create our wedding day atmosphere!
