I have to say I'm not as thrilled as some of the other brides on here. We wanted great music with very little DJ interjection -- I know it's part of a DJ's job usually to get the crowd going, but we did ask him not to talk too much and we felt he did - introducing songs, talking over them, over-instructing us on how to cut the cake. He played all our requests, but at odd times. With that said, though, all of our guests had a great time and I think they enjoyed it. But our DJ told us he customized every wedding and it seemed that he just had a set way of doing things that our meeting didn't change.Granted, we only met with him once. We were very busy with non-wedding things leading up to our wedding so we didn't micromanage. It's not a big deal that we had a few cheesy songs at our wedding. They were very nice and professional and our guests had a great time. If you're into a very "DJ" kind of DJ, if that makes sense, then these are your guys.

Kevin from Local Motion Entertainment DJ'd my wedding on Sept. 17, 2011 and he was awesome! He was the perfect MC and did everything that we discussed beforehand but was also extremly flexible the day of! The music he picked throughout the reception was just perfect! He really knew how to get people moving on the dance floor and select songs for our crowd.

DJ Geoff was fantastic. Stand-up guy! We booked him on his personality alone and we did not make a mistake. Pleasure to work with. He paid a lot of attention to detail and was awesome at the wedding. I would strongly recommend to anyone seeking DJ services. Very professional. Good pricing and just great, great value. I just cannot say enough about Geoff and the company.

We used Geoff from Local Motion as our DJ for our wedding in August (The Waterview, Monore, CT). He did an incredible job. We did not want the dj to take over the wedding and he did exactly what we wanted. He introduced everyone perfectly and spent a lot of time making sure he had it perfect. He was an incredible help when trying to select the perfect music for the ceremony and dinner time. He had a great amount of patience with me and my now husband. I would DEFINITELY use him again if I was having an event.

Local Motion was absolutely incredible. For us the DJ was the most important part and Bill was beyond perfect. When it was time to be over and the music stopped, no one wanted to leave the dance floor. He played the music we wanted and kept people on the dance floor the entire night, exactly how we envisioned our reception to be.Bill was incredible and we would absolutely recommend him to anyone planning their wedding.Thanks Bill!!!

They were absolutely FABULOUS! We loved Bill from the second we met him while booking our venue! he hooked us up big time by having a thursday night wedding. He acclimated quickly to any quick changes and pronuciations of names, cancelled speeches or diff ideas and i mean like last minute. he also guided us through the entire night with where to stand for the cake cutting to times for certain music to be played. most of all w hgave him an unusal genre of music to learn for the wedding (house) and he pulled it off like the pro that he is. Go with him! dont skimp on a dj to save a buck bc your husbands neihbors mailman will do it off his ipad for $200 bucks. they are worth it and nessesary!

OMG WHERE TO BEGIN! bill was just amazing! allot of ppl try to skimp on a dj bc there fiances brothers mailman djed in college! STOP RIGHT THERE! do not skimp on a dj. They arent just a dj they are your master of ceremonies! They do EVERYTHING! they have the most important job at your reception! with that being said we chose a different genre of music for our reception(house) and he got us all of the songs we requested and mixed them all at the reception like the pro that he is...nevermind the fact that he gave us 1/2 off bc our wedding was on a thursday! he also did our lighting! listen THIS MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE IN PICS and in the decor in general! he did all the uplighting and dancefloor lighting and believe me his designs were right on point! i cant say enough good things about bill and local motion! they are the best dont go anywhere else..trust me!

Bill was amazing. If you think a DJ is just about getting a crowd going and keeping up a party, you've got more to learn! With our somewhat demanding array of guests, he was absolutely perfect and kept our desires at the forefront. He'll make sure you're having the time of your life, and that your guests have the BEST wedding experience ever! I have gotten so many compliments from both young friends and respected family. We liked Bill from our very first meeting with him (my husband didn't come to the first meeting, it was just my mom and myself, but once we left the meeting, I knew for sure that I wanted him as our DJ). When we had our final meeting with him, he gave us feedback on some of the songs that we had chosen and ideas that we had, and also made some suggestions that were helpful. He noted the music tastes that we had, and chose the songs that he played accordingly. He played almost all of the songs that we had on our request list, and there was not one song that he played that we did not like.As other people have stated on here, he was very responsive to our guests. He kept almost everybody dancing all night long (especially me, I barely had a chance to sit down!).We highly recommend Local Motion, and especially Bill. If we ever had any other events where we needed a DJ, we would choose him without hesitation.

Bill was excellent to work with and we selected him based upon his great reputation. He has a genuine love for his work and it shows. His is eager to help his clients if they can't help themselves, such as choosing songs. We let him select the wedding ceremony music and we loved the music. We also gave him a list of about 20 songs for the reception and he selected the rest of the music - everyone was dancing and having a good time.

Bill read our guests and got everyone up and dancing. Even our guests who normally don't get up were on the floor having a great time. Our guests said they had the best time ever and the music Bill played was enjoyed by everyone. We are in the process of having another function and Bill will be the one we will call. He was professional, fun and knows how to read a crowd. He picks up the mood and runs with it. You can't ask for anymore than that from a DJ. Bill you are awesome! Chris and Tom

Kevin was our DJ...he was AWESOME! The cocktail hour music was loved by all generations. During dinner, Kevin played Disney instrumental music, which was GREAT. We are huge Disney fans. So many guests commented about how many people were actually on the dance floor. Kevin read the crowd and they were happy all night.

He did a great job with the music everyone was up and dancing the night away. My husband is a hugh Kiss fan and he played Detriot Rock city as we were introduced for the first time, he was so excited he is still talking about it.

Bill was awesome. We are not musically inclined and he helped us pick entry music. He was able to read the crowd perfectly and he kept the dance floor packed all night with music that he choose to suit the mood. He made an effort to learn each of the bridal party�s proper pronunciation of their name so they were introduced correctly. I am so happy that we choose him because he truly made the wedding perfect and tons of fun.
