Be sure they take good notes about what you want on your cake, they left out my snowflakes and I had a winter wedding!! Besides that the cake was delicious!

I have gotten so many compliments on the cake and that everyone finished it, which people usually don't. It was easy to work with the team in desiging the cake. Even though the cake I thought could of been a little more finished looking, it was modern and all the guest complimented it. Overall we were pleased and would recommend Modern Pastry for any wedding or special occassion.

Carla made us the most gorgeous wedding cake! She is super sweet, attentive and professional! The cake was everything and beyond I had imagined! It was gorgeous and delicious!

Modern was the vendor we had to use through the Gershon Fox. At first I was a little leary after reading other brides reviews, saying their pictures had been lost and the cake looked nothing like they had originally discussed. Luckily this was not the case for us! Our cake came out exactly as we had imagined it. I was so happy! Everyone said the cake tasted great also! We also ordered mini cannolis to be served, and when they came out they were not very fresh tasting and kind of soggy, my husband was really bummed about this since we paid extra for this part and he was really looking forward to them. All in all the service was good, We got our cake exactly how we wanted it and it was delicious!

What I really cared about was the taste of the cake and it tasted great. I only had to order the cake the week of and they were able to deliver it. It was a very simple process once I sent my sister to do the tasting because I live too far away. I would definitely recommend Modern for your wedding cake. I kept it simple White with just a bit of Lavender and then we added Flowers for the decoration once it was delivered. (I wanted to buy a cake that was for 75 people but my family pressured me into buying a bigger cake.) As I figured the cake didn't get completely eaten because everyone is so full from the wedding. It's no big deal of course but it just reminds me to go with my gut!

I used Tastebuds as my caterer. Since I only had 50 people at my wedding, we used Modern for the cake. We went for a tasting and the girl there was awesome. We picked the lemon mousse. It was so light and yummy! We also paid extra to add the fondant draping to the cake. It was only two tiers, but still gorgeous! There was plenty of cake leftover and I know people went up for seconds and thirds :) I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great cake!

This cake was THE BEST cake I've ever had. Everyone commented on how great it was. Not only did it taste great, it was absoultely beautiful. We also had them make our daughters birthday cake, absolutely amazing. We brought them a picture and they made the same exact cake, but better. The staff at Modern Pastry are very patient, understanding, and focused on satisfying their patrons. 100% would suggest.

Our wedding cake was included in our package from the Gershon. In our opinion they should re-think their working relationship. While the cake was tasty, it didn’t look at all like the picture we presented. I would also like to note that our cake was super simple and in butter cream not even in fondant. Our colors were suppose to be champagne and ivory. We got a white cake. All white no contrast. Ugh. Plus 3 days prior to the wedding I sent a follow-up email to the bakery and she responded stating she had lost the picture and if I could resend. Hence our surprise when it didn’t look the way that the picture did. The extra staff that works in the shop is not professional at all. They were cursing while we waited to speak to Carla (owner\'s daughter??) She was very nice, but the atmosphere in their was questionable.

I loved our cake! I browsed through a couple of books to see which kind of cake I wanted, I found one but needed to modify it slightly! I can’t tell you how many compliment I received on your cake. We had a four tier red velvet cake, which was so delicious!!! Very professional.

My husband and I went into the store to look at pictures of cakes and to do a test taste, yum! The young woman that helped us gave us some recommendations that were helpful but it was so busy that we had to wait around for quite awhile to get assistance. As a result I called in the order on another day and everything went great.

Modern Pastry is one of the two vendors that works closely with my wedding venue (La Renaissance). After meeting with Lisa, I knew that they were the shop that I was going to choose for my wedding. They were flexible and helped me choose just the right cake for my reception (size, flavor, decoration, style, etc.). They incorporated all of my ideas in just the right cake. Although they didn't match the roses and ribbon colors like I had hoped, everything else was perfect. I can't wait to have another bite on my one year anniversary.

Carla at Modern Pastry was a pleasure to work with. She was so friendly and knowledgable! She went the extra mile and even put fresh flowers on it. It looked like it belonged in a magazine! We went with the ricotta and chocolate mousse filling with chocolate chips - it was EXCELLENT!!! Would HIGHLY recommend them :)

We got our cake from Modern Pastry and they did not disappoint! Lisa and Carla were so attentive to all the details that we wanted to include in our cake. Each layer was a different flavor combination and we got such good feedback on how good the cake was at our reception. We can't wait to defrost the top layer for our 1 year anniversary! Thank you!

We want to thank Modern Pastry for the beautiful job they did on our wedding cake! It was delicious and beautiful just what we wanted! The only con we have is that we asked for a 5 tier cake and only got 4.
