OBrien Strings

Kate and her fabulous string trio provided the ceremony music for our wedding recently. Her repertoire is unmatched, and we LOVED that she has so many modern songs to choose from! My husband is a huge Beatles fan, so he was thrilled to be able to create a playlist from her repertoire of his favorites. When we requested a song not on her playlist, Such Great heights by Postal Service, Kate and her musicians learned it for us before the big day! Their sound was BEAUTIFUL and it set the tone for our intimate ceremony.I had to mark less than 5 stars in the flexibility category, simply because there was a strict "shade" policy for outdoor ceremonies which proved to be a bit of an issue for us. But that policy might be standard with all classical musicians & their instruments being out in the bright sun.I also had to mark less than 5 stars in the Quality of Service category because several of my guests complained of not being able to concentrate fully on the ceremony because they could hear Kate counting out the measures and changes to her musicians. It can be heard on some of our video footage as well. This may have been due to the fact though that we were in a large barn, and the sound may have just carried.I would definitely hire O'Brien Strings again. They are true artists, and made our ceremony simply lovely.

I booked OBrien Strings to play at my wedding ceremony in October 2009. They did a beautiful job! Kate was easy to get in touch with and able to accomodate my requests. I'm really glad I had them there!

The music was so beautiful, they were worth every penny! I highly recommend them!!!
