What can I say about Sandra other than that she's amazing!? She is so uber talented it's unbelievable. The hair + makeup she and her team did for me and the girls was to die for!!! Everyone looked totally stunning. Aside from that, Sandra was so easy to talk to, is a true business woman and inspiration because of it and I feel very, very lucky to have met her and for her to have been such a beautiful part of our day. Many many thanks to Sandra!!

Stunning is exactly how I felt on my wedding day, thanks to Sandra and her hairdresser Katy, who made me look more beautiful than I could have imagined. My makeup was flawless, and it lasted all night with no issues. My hair lasted well into the next day without even budging! My bridal party was equally as happy with their services, they all looked gorgeous! Sandra was professional, courteous, and on time, I would most certainly reccomend her to any bride wanting to look her best on her wedding day!

Sandra Downie was amazing to work with. I (and my mom and sister) had the airbrush makeup done and it was incredible. It stayed on all day and it felt like I had no makeup on at all. It felt very light but it looked flawless. Sandra really made me feel beautiful! My sister and mom's makeup lasted too and they loved it! They forgot that they had makeup on!
And Karen did a wonderful job on mine and my bridesmaids' hair. They all looked gorgeous and it lasted throughout the day. I definitely would recommend Sandra Downie!

It was really important to me to find someone who would not only help me look beautiful but who would also be warm and supportive and responsive, because I wanted not just to look gorgeous but to feel as relaxed as possible on my wedding day. I also needed some guidance because I didn't have much in the way of ideas about my hair and make-up. Sandra and Karen (her Master Stylist) did a fantastic job. I tried another make-up artist and stylist prior to finding them and the results were not nearly as good (and the price was higher!). Sandra and Karen really understand how to personalize hairstyle and make-up so that it flatters the individual. I would highly recommend their service.

Sandra, the owner, was great to work with and very professional. Her staff did the make-up for myself, my mom, mother-in-law and my bridesmaids and everyone looked wonderful. I received numerous compliments about my makeup at the reception and even months later when people see my wedding pictures. Sandra and her staff were easy to work with and their work is very good, amazing in fact. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a make-up artist for their bridal party. Absolutely worth every penny!!!

Sandra was wonderful. I loved what she did on my makeup test, and she made me feel very comfortable that I was in good hands. On our wedding day, despite having another booking, she got all the way down to my hotel in time to do makeup for me, 2 bridesmaids and my mother. And she made us all look like models. She is very skilled and also incredibly nice.

Sandra is great ladies!! She came to me at my parents home in West Haven Ct. without a consultation, because I was living in California at the time but about to be married in my home town of West Haven . She did a great job!! I had airbrushing and also some great false lashes!! I just recently asked her for some skin and makeup advice, and for a busy lady, a very prompt and helpful responce!

I highly recommend Sandra Downie as your makeup and hair stylist. She has such a great personality... it's exactly what you need to make yourself at ease before walking down the aisle. I'm also Indian and she does great with all different kinds of skin types. She was so pleasant to work with and she did a fantastic job with makeup for me, my mother, and all my bridesmaids. She was super professional, arrived on-time and ready to go. She gave me a great estimate of how long it would take and she fit in one extra bridesmaid who thought she didn't want makeup even though she had another event booked after mine. Her prices are in line or better than other makeup artists of her calibre in the area. I couldn't be happier working with Sandra. For your wedding, I wouldn't trust anyone else but Sandra Downie.

sandra was a delight to deal with on my wedding day..she is friendly and comforting, but most importantly her work is exquisite. she made me and the bridesmaids look beautiful.. of course, every bride wants to look the most beautiful they ever have on their wedding day, and sandra definitely made that happen.

Sandra is an incredibly sweet lady and her service was excellent. The products that she used lasted all night and despite an earlier morning flight to Europe I still looked great the next day, on our honeymoon. If you have the extra money to spend on this service, it is well worth it!

Knowing Sandra was working with me was a huge comfort going into a day that can be so nervewracking. Following the trial, when we were able to tweak and talk so she knew what to expect, the day of meant jump in the chair and ruminate on other things while she did her work! No worries or concerns as she worked, just let her do it--and wonderfully, I could trust that the same thing would happen for my bridesmaid, my mom AND my 83 year old grandmother (who looked amazing!). I had faith that I didn't need to worry during the night with constant checks on my makeup and sure enough, a picture one of my friends snapped 12 hours later showed that I looked almost exactly as I had right after I jumped out of her chair--alcohol and dancing included! I'm usually a control freak, and worrying about my makeup on that day would have been a big stressor. It was nice to give that up and just feel lovely.

Sandra and her assistant were absolutely wonderful! They did hair and makeup for everyone in my bridal party and were flexible with everything. They were not satisfied until everyone was happy with their hair and makeup, they re-did my sisters hair three times until she was content (very picky). They were also incredibly easy to work with, as my mom brought her own makeup due to allergies. Sandra was friendly, engaging, and a pleasure to share my wedding preparations with. I would highly recommend her for any beauty-related services needed.
