The Society Room of Hartford

The society room did an amazing job for our wedding. The venue is gorgeous and the food and service was perfect.

The Society Room was absolutely amazing! The room is beyond beautiful and it's run by some of the best people out there. Dana was so helpful during the planning process and came up with some really great ideas. The staff the day of the wedding was so professional and went out of their way to make sure our special day was perfect. Our limo was 45 minutes late (pushing everything back) and as soon as they found out they were so accommodating without anyone even having to ask. The food was so delicious and the event was better than any wedding I could have dreamed of. I give this venue my highest recommendation!!

Our wedding took place at the Society Room in Hartford on the 17th of February 2012. Where to begin. Our experience with Dana and Shawn started when we were originally picking a venue. While the elegance and beauty of the room speak for itself, the professionalism and flexibility of the staff became quickly apparent during both our initial meetings prior to us booking the venue all the way through the planning process. Being a chronic procrastinator, they helped keep us on target, and gave us feedback and suggestions along the way that helped turn our day from a potential nightmare to the most incredible day of our lives. We participated in the Mock wedding, where the food was delicious, however, it paled in comparison to the food prepared at the night of our wedding. I heard nothing but praise during cocktail hour (vegetarian Nori rolls with Wasabi Aioli was AMAZING) and after entrees. My meal was phenomenal. It was prepared perfectly with a very visually appealing delivery. Even my vegan friends raved about their dishes. The kitchen staff obviously took incredible pride in what they were serving, and it showed. Our Wedding coordinator did an amazing job setting up the room, and using the items we provided, accented with their own stock of ornamental items to make the dining room look like we were hosting a presidential dinner event. The wait staff was courteous, and quick to serve as well as remove clutter, keeping the dining room looking excellent all throughout the night. Our Bridal Suite attendant was amazing, and continuously helped us whenever we needed even the smallest things. Everyone was available and made the night run incredibly smoothly. Our wedding couldn’t have gone better, and a lot of that credit belongs to the Society Room and their incredible staff.

Everything was absolutely amazing. They took care of every little detail for us and catered to our every need. My personal bridal assistant, Michele, was at my side for anything I needed assistance with. She helped bustle my dress, when one of the ties broke because my husband stepped on it, she made sure I had everything I needed at all times throughout the night and she is just the sweetest person. The FOOD was amazing!!! Our guests were raving about how wonderful the food was from cocktail hour, dinner, and the chocolate fountain. This was the perfect venue for us and the customer service was unbeatable!

Everyone keeps commenting on how beautiful the society room was and how great the food tasted! Everyone there was a pleasure to work with and we had a fabulous wedding there! I would recommend it to everyone! You wont be dissapointed!

Excellent wedding planning. The coordinator on the day of the reception provided excellent service with immense attention to detail. Also the personal attendant provided to the Bride & Groom was so helpful. Great service and professionalism through and through. The venue itself is spectacular. The architecture and ambiance is out of this world. We can not say enough positive things about The Society Room and all its amenities.

Our daughter's wedding reception took place at The Society Room. The day could not have been more perfect, thanks to the extraordinary planning of Dana and the execution by Desmond. Honestly, I was expecting a beautiful day - but it was beyond. They made sure each and every guest was was happy and went above and beyond to make sure their dinner was accurate, hot and delicious. They did not fail. Everyone raved about the venue. Jonna looked after the bridal party like a pro and they wanted for nothing! Dana, thank you for the recommendation on photos, music; both were spectacular. The lighting the d.j. provided made us feel like we were very, very special. Thank you again for a day no one will forget! Again, Desmond, thanks for hanging with us till the wee hours of the morning.

I had the pleasure of working with Dana to plan my wedding--I could not have asked for a more elegant affair! The space itself is just breathtaking, the staff is professional, attentive, and unobtrusive, and the food is out of this world--every guest I spoke to raved about how it was "restaurant quality." I personally loved having the whole space to ourselves for our event--we were really able to design the wedding reception that we wanted to since we weren't worried about competing with another reception for shared space! Desmond was my day of coordinator, and he did a fantastic job of seeing to all our needs, mine especially. Everything was executed beyond my expectations. Would strongly recommend the Society Room of Hartford as a reception location!

The Society Room was a great venue for our recent wedding. Everyone commented on how great the atmosphere was. The staff is on top of everything the night of the wedding and they are super attentive the weeks leading up to the wedding. They can handle last minute changes with ease and they are more than willing to help with anything. The "mock wedding" was so nice and it helped us pick our menu so we knew what we were expecting the day of our wedding. I loved the Society Room and would recommend it to anyone.

We had a fabulous wedding reception at the Society Room. Everyone was very helpful and eager to make our day exactly what we wanted it to be. On the day, amongst all the chaos, the staff was so incredibly accommodating to myself and my husband, our wedding party, and guests. Our guests are still raving about the food and service 3 months later. We couldn't imagine our wedding any different.

Working with the staff at the Society Room was like having your own personal wedding planner. They were very flexible with all of our requests including bringing in our own cake and adding custom food to the menu at no additional cost. They contacted all of our vendors and coordinated all the arrival/departure/drop-off/pick-up times which took a lot of stress off of us as the wedding approached. They had great suggestions for vendors who have worked there before and really know how to get the most out of the room. I don't think we have a single complaint about our experience.

Awesome place and so worth the money. You really don't need a wedding planner because this organization has everything all together! They are all true professionals and so sweet and so flexible. They accommodated ALL of our needs. We wasted money on a wedding planner, wish we had just trusted that Society Room would take care of everything because by the end of the night we almost fired our own wedding planner for not knowing what they were doing. A wonderful venue!

I couldn't be more pleased with the professionalism and care that was taken to make our wedding so personal and the best night! The bridal party was well taken care of the entire night, and we were updated of everything that was going on during the night. A totally stress free night. I'd love to do it all over again! One comment that I will make is that I would ask the dj (or band) to cut the music and announce the cutting of the cake (we missed it, in fact I didn't even see the cake so I'm anxious for the pictures) This was our mistake. Also we should have had the Society Room place the bride & groom's picture in a more "traveled" area so that more guests would have seen it to write well wishes. But in any case, I would recommend this venue to any bride without hesitation. We didn't get one negative comment and are still dreaming about our special night. Our wedding reception for 250 guests at The Society Room of Hartford on June 3, 2011 was unbelievable. We seated family in the ballroom and friends in the mezzanine, which worked out perfectly. The staff was efficient, courteous, and nothing was ever a problem. I was extremely impressed with the flawless execution by The Society Room staff of the entire wedding. I would highly recommend The Society Room to any couple looking for a sophisticated and elegant venue with amazing food!

The Society Room is the perfect 5 Star wedding venue. You literally do not worry about one thing the day of your wedding. With so many moving parts to a wedding, we had complete peace of mind that the Society Room would have seamless service, quality food, and professionalism. The little things were handled very well (ie when we arrived at the bridal suite, I did not prefer any of the cheese that was served and they went and brought me my favorite, parmigiano). Our guests truly had an evening to remember. Thank you for making my blessed day so special!

We couldn't be happier with our wedding day! The location was perfect and gorgeous, the staff was incredibly friendly & helpful, the food and drinks were fantastic, and our personal attendant for the day made sure that we had everything and anything that we needed for the entire day. We cherish every moment of the day, and if we had to do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing.

The Society Room of Hartford was the perfect venue for our March 2011 Wedding! It was classy and timeless and the staff went above and beyiond to make everything perfect and to exceed our expectations! The food and service were amazing, and we still hear from all of our guests that it was the best wedding they have ever been to! The staff was professional and everything was so streamlined. At the end of the night our wedding coordinator pulled us over to the side(very discreetly) to let us know that our toasting flutes had accidentally been dropped and were broken, but that they would replace them right away. They were very apologetic, and while my husband and I were a little upset (not at them, since accidents do happen), we had confidence that our replacements would arrive to us in a timely manner. My husband and I returned from our one week honeymoon and had a message that our new flutes were available for pickup! Not only was it faster than we had expected, they had actually saved our salvageable (original )toasting flutes and gave us both sets! The whole process in dealing with the Society Room from our first tour to final meeting and payment was a pleasant one. There was someone always available to answer our questions and to provide us with insight and feedback, as well as to work with our requests. We would like to thank alll of the staff, and especially Sean, Dana, Sabrina, Ceceliia and Desmond, from the bottom of our hearts for making our wedding more than we ever had imagined!
