Wadsworth Mansion at the Long Hill Estate

Gorgeous and customizable venue!! Beautiful mansion that is more work than typical package deal wedding venues as you get to choose all of the specific vendors that you'd like to work with to make your wedding truly yours! Our wedding was AMAZING and totally us thanks to the Wadsworth. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful throughout the process- Thanks!!

The Mansion is gorgeous! The staff is incredible!!! I loved the idea of having two separate ballrooms for my guests. The day was incredible and the women of the Wadsworth were so easy to work with :)

The most beautiful venue in Connecticut! I may be biased because I had my wedding there :) The staff went above and beyond and the mansion and grounds are breath taking. I was a little nervous about having 2 seperate dining rooms but this ended up being a positive. We had a tent for the dj, bar and dancing. It got everyone out of their seats into the party.

The Wadsworth Mansion is a gorgeous location for any reception and ceremony. The staff was wonderful to work with and sent us a nice letter after the wedding congratulating us and thanking us for choosing the mansion. Overall is was a wonderful venue.

We looked at dozens of different wedding venues before deciding on the Wadsworth Mansion. It is an absolutely stunning estate, and perfect for a larger wedding of 150 to 200 people. I was impressed with how quickly the staff responded to our phone calls and e-mails. They were helpful throughout the process. The only thing to keep in mind if you have an event here is that it is a lot of work. You have to buy or rent your own tablecloths, silverware, plates, catering, liquor, etc. The end result is that you have a memorable wedding that is more personalized than a hotel or wedding hall. But it's also much more time consuming.We received many compliments on the Wadsworth Mansion. Our guests were blown away by the expansive, lush grounds and the mansion's architecture. It was like no other venue we'd seen. I'd highly recommend considering it if you're planning a wedding in Connecticut.

We had our wedding here a couple of weeks ago and couldn't be happier. Everyone we worked with at the Mansion were wonderful. Very helpful and knowledgable, and the place itself is GORGEOUS. I thought it was a little pricy, but worth it. I got married on a rainy, cloudy day, and it was STILL absolutely beautiful. A unique venue with lots of class!

The Wadsworth Mansion is absolutely beautiful. All of my guests are still raving about how beautiful everything was at our wedding. The staff is so easy to contact and willing to accomodate you in any way they can. The only issue that I had was that you only get the place for 8 hours, which includes hours of set up and at least an hour for clean up. I wish it could have been an entire day rental for the amount of money that you pay. Other than that, this is the perfect place to get married!

The most amazing venue for a wedding!

The Wadsworth Mansion was FABULOUS! Everything was clean and beautiful. The staff is beyond professional and courteous. On my big day I had everything I needed and the staff had a real "can do" attitude when it came to working through any obstacles. They were wonderful!

The Wadsworth is timeless and beautiful. If you are looking for a Newport style wedding in Connecticut look no further. No wedding factory here!! Both the grounds and the structure are gorgeous. The staff overall was very helpful. I did however send emails to one assistant only to have another of the employees be there on my wedding day. Also, they charged me money out my deposit because the cleaners claimed they had to get glitter out of the rug. After several phone calls to the director the money was refunded. Other than that everything was great.

The Wadsworth staff was great, and so easy to work with. They regularly helped me with what i needed to do and came up with a lot of helpful ideas. The place was beautiful and really, i can't think of anything bad to say. The only downside was the price, however, the money from events goes to the restoration & upkeep of the building and so it's a good cause.

I could not have asked for a more stunning location to have both my ceremony and reception. Our wedding guests could not stop commenting about how gorgeous the grounds and mansion were. We were married in the rose garden outside with beautiful pink hydrangeas in bloom. We had cocktails outdoors on a beuatiful fall day and the guests loved that there were a lot of places to go in the mansion. You rent the mansion out for a 8-9 hour period and have the run of the place. This is nice because there 2 dining rooms to lounge in, a spearate bar area, and plenty of places for the dance floor. At first we were nervous about having 2 dining rooms but it worked out great- our more "boisterous" guests were in one and the other guests in the other. It was the best day of my life and I am so happy I chose the Wadsworth Mansion!
