Water's Edge Resort and Spa

The perfect venue for our autumn/early winter wedding. We had our ceremony and reception there. Beautiful. Maggie Bascomb is wonderful to work with. Food, decor, everything wonderful and excellent value. All the staff were very professiona, friendly and attentive. I recommend without hesitation.

We had the most amazing wedding at Water's Edge in June 2011. They could not have been more wonderful or accommodating. The entire staff was incredibly nice and they made sure that we had a perfect day. I'd highly recommend this venue!

Overall this is the best place anyone could have their wedding at. Everyone is so nice and pleasant ..they are they to service you all the way. Price is fantastic and I believe with the quality of good people they have it is all worth it. Managers to owners are there to service you and Wedding Coordinator is fantastic. On our wedding day they gave this kid Patrick to work for us meaning he would get anything we needed and he was truly a blessing completely wonderful guy who made us feel comfortable and everything we needed. Food is delicious at Water's Edge everyone said it was great. Drinks were on the house after the wedding was over which was really nice ..they do that for the bride and groom :) If I could give this place 10 stars I would it is truly the best place ever. Thank you so much to everyone for all their hard work..we trully appreciate it !!

Water's Edge is AMAZING!! Thank you Cindy Sanchez!!!!! She is the best!! Planning a wedding with them is SO EASY. The resort setting is so beautiful!! All of our guests absolutely loved it. The hotel is beautiful, the food was great and everything went off so seamlessly. Unfortunately, it rained and the ceremony and cocktail hour were moved inside, but they even did a great job with that. We loved the spa, and our free massage. We can't wait to go back for our anniversary!!!

The wedding went off without a hitch. It was way more than I would hav every asked for. Antonella was our wedding coordinator. She was phenomenal!

We had both our ceremony and reception on site at Waters Edge and what a beautiful scene! Weddings truly are their business as we had the most perfect day, and I am not just talking about the weather. Our wedding planner, Antonella Delorenze was amazing to work with and such a sweetheart, as was the wedding coordinator, Cindy, who stepped in at the last moment to make sure our wedding went off as planned. I truly couldn't have imagined a more perfect wedding in my head. The staff was very friendly and responsive to absolutely everything, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was like a dream.

Water's Edge is a gorgeous location. They do hold many weddings but when you get married you feel like you are the *only* bride there. They don't hold two weddings at the same time. (Even the reception is over before the next one starts). The wedding planner there is fantastic. She treats you like your wedding is the most important thing and is so quick with responses. She knows her job really well and everything runs so smoothly.The have a lot of great little touches like:+ lots of great landscape for photos without leaving the grounds (trees, ocean, field, flowers, balcony, fancy rooms, etc)+ a staff member assigned to the bridal party and bride&groom the whole time. + honeymoon suite with cake and champagne+ room decoration Tip: One ballroom has a balcony that overlooks the ocean. That's the one we picked to use, and everyone loved that balcony.

I can't describe how awesome the Water's Edge and all of its staff is. Antonella Delorenze is absolutely the best wedding coordinator you could work with - she is attentive, kind, and most of all, a wonderful voice of reason! The Water's Edge itself is exquisite with a beautiful location right on the water (clever, I know). Great place to stay, visit, eat...I could go on forever. My wedding was spectacular because of this place!

The Waters Edge is an amazing place to have your wedding reception. They took care of everything I could not have asked for a better hall. It was the most wonderful experience any future Bride & Grooms should have.

From the minute we saw the property, throughout the planning, and through to the morning after, the Water's Edge staff and our personal planner were attentive, professional, flexible, kind and made our day wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious. The grounds are impeccable. The price is also very competitive. Alot of places charge the same and no other place in southern Connecticut can truly compare.

My husband and I just recently got married at Water's Edge on September 10, 2011. With all of the rain and the hurricane shortly before, we were worried we were not going to be able to have our ceremony outside. However, Water's Edge went above and beyond in finding us an alternate ceremony site and it was absolutely beautiful! The reception was great and so was the service. Everyone at Water's Edge is very nice. The only complaint that I have is with reservations. We blocked 10 rooms when we booked our wedding in 2009 and when it was time for our guests to book rooms there were none available. My planner was wonderful in getting us the rooms we were promised. Thank you Elizabeth. You were great!

The most wonderful experience of my life! Not just because I married an amazing man, but also because The Water's Edge Resort and Spa was simply amazing. From the intial tour of the grounds to the final detail meeting and of course the day of...Cindy Sanchez was amazing! She responded to my excessive emailing and voicemails quickly and was always willing to go the extra mile. Even on the day of, when traffic was a slight issue, she coordinated everything to push our entire wedding back by 30 minutes with just a snap of the fingers! The grounds are amazing, the food was fantastic and the service was excellent! I always dreamed of having my wedding at the Water's Edge and it really was a dream come true!

Well worth the drive to lower eastern, connecticut... ask for, ANTONELLA our coordinator went way above and beyond the call of duty; proffesional, helpful in all aspects, and super friendly. Waters Edge Resort did a wonderful job with our wedding. The day went so smoothly and I did not have to worry about anything. In the months leading up to the wedding, our coordinator did a great job helping us with the details and getting everything set. We were allowed to designed our own cake that was made on site for the wedding. The cake was beautiful and tasted wonderful! I don't have one bad thing to say. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day.

Everything about this place was just perfect! The staff, the place itself, and most of all the food.

Perfect place for a wedding. We had our ceremony and reception here, so the catering, cake, and wedding planning was all part of the price. We think this was a great deal. Not only did we get everything from one convenient place, but they also threw in a free night's stay at the resort, a free massage and facial, and a dinner as a one-year anniversary gift. Our wedding coordinator, Antonella DeLorenze, helped us tremendously also. She was ridiculously responsive to everything, and so understanding about every detail. Antonella helped us to make decisions with ease. She's also such a nice person, so it's tough to get too stressed out with her helping you out! We would highly recommend Water's Edge for your ceremony and reception. Their grounds are beautiful, overlooking the ocean either down on the lawn or up on the hill with the gazebo (where we got married).

It was a rocky road dealing with Water's Edge throughout the planning process. We had 3 different coordinators in an 8 month period. They were very unresponsive, however I do understand they are planning numerous weddings at one time, but as a bride it's your wedding and you expect it to be perfect and for them to help in every step on the way, from begining to end. Once it got closer to our wedding and after much tracking down of their staff on my part, they went above and beyond to make our wedding absolutely amazing! Maggie Bascom was our final coordinator there and she did a great job, as well as Nicole. I think Maggie and Nicole are the girls they need in the wedding group! Yanko was a great personal server that we had strictly for the bride and groom and our families. He was amazing! He was still trying to help out the day after our wedding, when we were packing up to leave. The food was amazing and all of the wait staff and bartenders were great! I think once they finalize a great team they will be back on track at Water's Edge Resort and Spa. Thanks for making our day so special!

Water's Edge offers beautiful, scenic grounds for an outdoor ceremony. Their staff is amazingly attentive, courteous, and helpful to follow through with every detail to your wedding. The food is delicious, the space is plentiful, and the craft services are talented. I highly recommend Water's Edge; I would even stay at their resort for a mini vacation.

We had an amazing wedding at Water's Edge - our guests all raved about how beautiful it was and how much they loved the resort. My only complaints are that they were not always responsive to our questions, they were not very flexible (though everything turned out great) and they nickle and dimed us a bit (like charging us a $8 upcharge on our "free massages" because a "couples' massage" wasn't included.)Most important though was how happy my guests were and I can't complain at all about that.
